A partnership between an affiliate of Monument Square Investment Group and a fund managed by Keystone National Group (collectively the “JV”) has acquired The Row in Columbia, MO (the “Property”)/ The Property is a 2005 vintage, 328-bed cottage-style student housing community comprised of 82-units across 41 duplex townhomes located approximately 3.5 miles south of the University of Missouri (“Mizzou”)

Champaign, Ill. —  A joint venture between Monument Square Investment Group and Koch Real Estate Investments has acquired a four-property student housing portfolio located near the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The portfolio includes four mid-rise communities located at 305 East Daniel St., 507 South Second St., 75 East Armory Ave. and 901 West Western Ave. in Champaign.

A partnership between Monument Square Investment Group, Birtcher Anderson & Davis, and HPS Investment Partners has sold Troy Court Commerce Center (the “Property”). The Property is a 2023-vintage industrial park comprised of three institutional-quality warehouses buildings totaling approximately 190,000 NRSF strategically located in the Inland Empire West submarket of greater Los Angeles.

A partnership between Monument Square Investment Group and Red River Development has sold Trulo Homes Jenks (the “Property”). The Property is a 2023-vintage, 138-unit cottage-style build-to-rent community in the Greater Tulsa MSA. The Property is strategically located in southwest Jenks, an affluent community bordering south Tulsa, which boasts the highest-rated school system in the state of Oklahoma.

A partnership between affiliates of Monument Square Investment Group and Koch Real Estate Investments has acquired a four-asset student housing portfolio in Urbana and Champaign, IL (the “Portfolio”). The Portfolio is comprised of four mid-rise properties developed between 2012 and 2017 totaling 548 beds (212 units), all of which are pedestrian to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus.

Monument Square Investment Group (“MSIG”) has recently hired Troy Hoffman as a Senior Vice President on its Asset Management team. Troy will primarily be responsible for leading the ongoing asset- and portfolio-level management of the firm’s investment portfolio across its verticals.

A partnership between affiliates of Monument Square Investment Group (“MSIG”) and CrossTie Capital (collectively the “JV”) has acquired The Atwell (the “Property”). The Property is a 2022-vintage class-A multifamily community comprised of 297 units across a mix of one- and two-bedroom layouts in one of the fastest growing submarkets in the DFW Metroplex.

Monument Square Investment Group (“MSIG”) has promoted Kris Shepherd to Associate Vice President, Investments. Kris is a member of MSIG’s investment team and is responsible for analysis, diligence and sourcing portfolio investments and for MSIG’s multifamily platform.

Baton Rouge, La. — A joint venture between Monument Square Investment Group and JDI Realty has acquired Maison Burbank, a 532-bed student housing community located near the Louisiana State University campus in Baton Rouge. The garden-style property was developed in 1996 and renovated in 2017. The property was 98.5 percent leased at the time of sale. The seller and terms of the transaction were not released. 

A partnership between affiliates of Monument Square Investment Group (“MSIG”) and JDI Realty, Inc. (collectively the “JV”) has acquired Maison Burbank (the “Property”). The Property is a 1996-vintage, 532-bed (134-unit) garden-style student housing community in a pedestrian location approximately 0.7 miles south of the Louisiana State University (“LSU”) campus.

A partnership between affiliates of Monument Square Investment Group (“MSIG”) and 7Acre Investments (collectively the “JV”) has acquired The Cove at Covington Town Center (the “Property”). The Property is a 2022-2023-vintage class-A multifamily community comprised of 334 garden-style units across a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bed layouts, 16 three-bed townhomes with attached garages, and a best-in-class amenity set.

Monument Square Investment Group (“MSIG”) has promoted Spencer Myers to Director, Investments. Spencer is a member of MSIG’s investment team and is responsible for the sourcing and structuring of portfolio investments and co-leads MSIG’s student housing acquisitions nationwide.
